Gagging is a bitter experience both for the clinician and the patient. A thorough medical and social history to understand the underlying cause is the key to problem solving. This article highlights a simple yet practical approach combining the distraction technique, audio analgesia and the marble technique to assist the dental practitioner to triumph over an often encountered problem.
