The ultimate aim of any clinician is to provide optimum fixed prosthesis to their patients. Although the clinicians are skilled to make impressions, it is not a rare occurrence to have errors in the impression. It is also essential to note that in the indian dental practice scenario, clinicians without any specific specialized training in crown and bridge are legally entitled to fabricate fixed prosthesis for their patients. It becomes imperative to evaluate the quality of the impressions and dental casts produced by clinicians practicing in india and thereby assessing the quality of prosthesis that may be produced from these records. Hence, this study is designed to gather data on quality of dental impression and working cast with an objective of creating awareness about the importance of enhancing individual skills through specialized training to enable the clinicians to provide their patients with fixed prosthesis of optimum quality.
