With advent of implants, prosthodontic rehabilitation has become a more predictable treatment modality. Today implant dentistry is prosthodontically driven. It is the onus of the prosthodontist at a restorative phase to obtain a passive fit of the prosthesis for long term success of implants. Implant impressions is one of the crucial step in achieving passive fit, by accurately relating an analogue of the implant or implant abutment to the other structures of dental arch. This presentation outlines various impression techniques and parameters to achieve accurate implant impressions.
