Introduction: The purpose of the study was to evaluate the effects of bisbiguanides, triclosan and phenolics on gingival enhancement and health during fixed prosthodontic procedures.

Methodology: this study was conducted on 40 patients of age range from 16-50 years who were scheduled for fixed prosthodontic treatment and randomly assigned to one of four groups control group water, phenolics, chlorhexidine and triclosan group.

Result: When the results were analysed, it was evident that all the four groups showed significant improvement in gingival enhancement and maintenance in patients undergoing fixed partial denture treatments with maximum in chlorhexidine , listerine, triclosan & control group

Conclusion: There was a statistically significantly greater reduction in plaque index from baseline to 7th weeks in all the four groups with maximum in chlorhexidine followed by triclosan & phenolic with minimum in control group respectively
